Event: The annual IWFM Impact Awards recognise best-in-class workplace and facilities management. Plus, the sector’s impact on the economy, environment and society at large.
Challenge: To reinvigorate a longstanding awards scheme of over 20 years’ standing. Attracting more entries and greater sponsorship to the biggest night in the profession’s calendar.

Solution: Redactive’s events team was appointed to run the IWFM Impact Awards in 2019. And so by necessity reinterpreted them initially in the virtual space. Then a radical rethink and increase in the number of categories for the return to a live event had the desired effect.
The 2021 big night at Grosvenor House provided a precious opportunity for this hidden and rarely recognised workforce to celebrate together. With pyrotechnics, comedy and an interactive Twitter wall just some of the attractions uniting the room in a sense of common purpose and fun.

Paid-for entries nearly doubled compared with the last live event in 2019
A 40% increase in sponsors from the 2019 event smashed the sponsorship target by 150%
97% of respondents to the feedback survey scored the experience ‘excellent’ or ‘good’
