IPEM joins Redactive’s health and science stable
The latest addition to our healthcare and scientific portfolio, SCOPE magazine gets a fresh new look and is packed with surprises for IPEM members.
You’ve probably never heard of IMBT. But we’re pretty confident that the professional audience of 4,000 physicists, engineers and technologists who comprise the membership of the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) will find a feature on intensity-modulated brachytherapy in cancer treatment a compelling must-read.
Because the relaunch issue of the IPEM’s member magazine SCOPE – the first since Redactive was appointed publisher after a competitive tender last year – is packed with engaging and sometimes unexpected content. And underpinning its bold visual revamp and new editorial strategy is the firm belief that – like all membership and b2b publications in the Redactive stable – SCOPE is not just for informing about professional developments in the sector, but for inspiring and promoting pride and excitement in belonging to the profession itself.
From a profile of pioneering physicist Sidney Russ to a heart-warming report of how a toy brick model of the machine used to treat them is boosting the confidence of young South African cancer patients, the content grabs attention, educates and inspires on multiple levels.
The perfect-bound 56-page format is now mailed to IPEM’s members ‘naked’, without any wrapping, in a development that makes the publication more environmentally friendly.
Phil Morgan, Chief Executive Officer, IPEM, comments: “I am sure members will be very happy with the completely new-look and enhanced SCOPE magazine. This first edition is packed with topical stories about how our members have played a vital role in the response to the Covid-19 crisis, especially with regards to the ventilator issue.
“We look forward to a successful partnership with Redactive and we want to continue to develop SCOPE to become one of the best membership publications in science and engineering.”
Rob Dabrowski, Redactive editor of SCOPE, adds: “We’re thrilled to be working with IPEM on such a highly regarded publication and look forward to evolving it in line with the Institute’s vision and goals. It’s an exciting opportunity to bring our experience of blending scientific publishing, membership communications and creativity to bear.”
The addition of SCOPE enhances Redactive’s healthcare and scientific portfolio, reinforcing the agency’s expertise in this sector as it now sits alongside such highly valued publications as The Biomedical Scientist for the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS), Acuity for the College of Optometrists and Podiatry Now for College of Podiatry.
