The Chartered College of Teaching has launched a new, annual publication for student and newly qualified teachers (NQTs). The 132-page journal, titled The Profession, is a guide for those embarking upon a career in teaching. Its cover proudly proclaims, “Welcome to the best job in the world”.

Published by Redactive, the first edition of The Profession has been distributed to teaching students across the UK and CCT student members and features over 30 engaging articles on a wide range of topics, including lesson planning and designing a curriculum, using research to inform teaching and managing workload and wellbeing.

The promotion of this first edition of The Profession has seen the College grow its student membership to over 14,000 as a result of requests to receive the publication.

We are delighted to launch this fantastic new publication, exclusively for students and NQTs, to provide advice and support through the early stages of their teaching career and to welcome them to the Chartered College. It has, yet again, been a pleasure to work with Redactive on the launch issue

Redactive also publishes the College’s flagship publication, Impact, which was crowned Best Launch Publication at the recent Memcom Awards.
