The cheers became louder in the Redactive office this week as we were shortlisted for another award, in the Best Awards event category of the Conference Awards for our work with Great Places to Work. After recognition for our Editorial and Design work in the MemCom shortlist, we are delighted to be acknowledged for our Event Management capabilities.
The Best Workplace awards are one of the UK’s most highly regarded and sought-after workplace awards and are regarded as the gold standard of employer awards. The Awards presentation celebrates organisations who deliver excellence, honouring more than 100 organisations who have been awarded the coveted Best Workplace status.
Redactive have managed the Best Workplace awards since 2013 and our development of the awards has led to improvements which have exceeded all expectations. The event has grown by more than 300 people from when we took over the event management: numerous companies have gone from booking one table to booking four due to their enjoyment of the evening!
2015 was the first year the Awards were themed – as 1940’s cinema – and details including cinema ticket invitations, paparazzi at the entrance, an events team dressed as usherettes complete with tiny torches, and of course, a red carpet, ensured that all guests had a memorable and entertaining evening. 86% of people said that the theme added to the experience of the event, and their enthusiasm has clearly continued as 2016 ticket sales are up by 25% YOY. As Helen Wright of Best Workplaces says, “Redactive really pulled the creative and production stops out to produce an event that today people still talk about”.
The winners of the Conference Awards will be announced at a lunchtime ceremony on 1 July 2016. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that we will be one of them!
