The Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) recently carried out reader research to hear members’ views on their magazine, The Structural Engineer, which is published monthly in partnership with Redactive. The response was terrific, with 1,614 members taking the time to complete the questionnaire.
IStructE shared our delight in the positive feedback the magazine received, with one respondent commenting:
“The Structural Engineer is an excellent publication and the only publication I read from cover to cover.”
Highlights from the research include the following:
- 53% read every issue
- 76% spend over 30 minutes reading the magazine
- 76% rate the quality of content as very good or excellent
- Over 90% of readers view every section of the magazine as valuable
- The Structural Engineer is the preferred engineering publication of 75% of members
- 82% of readers believe the magazine is well designed
- 78% believe that the magazine adds value to their IStructE membership
- 77% of readers find the content of The Structural Engineer valuable in their career
